Who We Are?
What To Expect
If you visit us on a Sunday morning (10:30 am at Gaelscoil Charman) you can expect to find a diverse group of people of different ages, backgrounds, and nationalities. We meet together to worship through music, prayer, and exploring what the teachings of Jesus mean for our daily lives. Those seeking to follow Jesus and those who are sceptical are all welcome.
History
Wexford Bible Church began in 1984 when Michael and Bernie Breen began meeting together with other locals for Bible Study and prayer.
The church was first established, in the town, under the pastoral direction of Miles McKee. Later Michael took on pastoral responsibility and then at the beginning of 2009 Jonathan Reid became the current pastor.
We are an evangelical, vibrant and caring church which meets in Wexford town. We are made up of families and individuals drawn from a diverse cross-section of both the town and surrounding countryside.
As a church we seek to be an agent of God’s Kingdom by telling others of the forgiveness, grace and love which God offers through Jesus. We want to do this while serving and contributing to the local community. We also seek to be a model of His Kingdom as we love and forgive one another, care for one another and carry one another’s burdens.
Wexford Bible Church is led by a small group of elders who are responsible for pastoral care, teaching, and oversight. They are joined by a number of others to make up the leadership team, which has responsible for coordinating the activates of the church and encouraging the whole church to be involved in the work of God’s kingdom in Wexford.
