As a church we are active with several ministries covering the areas of prayer, music, evangelism and children and youth work. Here is an example of the events which happen on a weekly basis within the life of the church:
Our Sunday morning service is at 10.30 am to 12 pm every week in the Gael Scoil Charman. We have a creche for pre-school children and a Sunday School for those in primary school.
A full-time youth ministry worker co-ordinates our children's work.
A Good News Club on Mondays
Regular club for teens
As a church we together regularly to learn and discuss God's word, to support each other through good and difficult times and to pray. The times and locations of these groups change to suit the needs of the congregation.
They consist of reading God's word, discussion, prayer and lots of tea and coffee! The topics discussed are all based on the bible texts, sometimes we will work our way through a book in the Bible, other times we will look at a specific topic to see what the Bible tells us. The main aim of these groups is to grow closer to God and each other.
Currently these include:
We have several home groups both during the day and in the evening. Everyone is welcome, you don't have to attend Sunday mornings to join a home group. Please contact us if you would like more information about the home groups that are currently running during the week.
This group normally meets on a weekday morning from 10.30 am to 12.00 pm and as the heading suggests is for women.
Children are welcome and along with the tea and coffee there is plenty of cake, friendship, tears and hugs.
Once a month a group meet to watch/read and discuss a variety of movies, novels, and short stories and to think about how faith and art interact.
We are a family church and over the year we have many fun family events such as:
Once a year we take over Avoca Manor for a weekend. This is a time to get to know each other better, eat good food, play, learn more about God, pray and sing together.
We have a weekly prayer meeting on Wednesday mornings at 8 am.
A monthly prayer meeting for the persecuted church, on the last Tuesday of the month at 8 pm.
Prayer before the Sunday morning service at 9.45am
